Obama budget may cut into EFV funds, Great Lakes preservation

President Barack Obama's $3.8 trillion budget proposal for next year appears to scale back on some Michigan projects and programs while providing more funding for others.
For instance, in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' budget, there appears to be no funding committed to building a new super-size lock in Sault Ste. Marie along the St. Marys River – a priority of several members of Michigan's congressional delegation.
