An Asian carp "summit" has been scheduled for Feb. 8 at the White House, the chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality announced Thursday. Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle will meet with fellow governors from Michigan and Illinois as well as federal agency leaders to talk about the Obama administration's plans to protect Lake Michigan from being colonized by the supersized fish. |
