Ontario supports closing locks to stop Asian carp

Michigan’s neighbors in Canada have filed a motion with the U.S. Supreme Court, supporting Michigan’s efforts to close Chicago-area locks to prevent Asian carp from invading the Great Lakes.

“Invasive species don’t respect international borders,” Donna Cansfield, Ontario’s Minister of Natural Resources, said about the legal brief the province filed Tuesday.
