Curriculum opens book on local waterway

Students at Wisconsin International School are taking in some important local lessons thanks to a curriculum designed around the Port of Green Bay.
Marie Sumnicht's fourth- and fifth-grade classes started using the lessons earlier this school year in conjunction with a unit on ecosystems. The curriculum is designed to foster a greater understanding and appreciation of the port and its history, said port manager Dean Haen.
