GLB forums are meant for boaters to share useful information and to discuss the challenges facing boating. We welcome new members to share their stories, discuss events and keep other boaters on the water.

Guidelines

1 - Refusal to obey these guidelines, will result in the appropriate responsive actions.

2 - Posts and comments may not be used to advertise or promote a product, company, Internet site, sale, individual or service. If you wish to promote anything, please contact us for rates. Anything that advertises or promotes something will be removed. Links may be used to further enhance discussions.

3 - Do not post your identifying information (buisness name, address, email address, etc.) in any of the boards. This includes company names, addresses, phone numbers, links to your business websites, etc as part of your screen name or signature line.

4 - Free speech is not an excuse for irresponsible behavior.

5 - No slandering. It is okay to respectfully disagree with a person, but it is not okay to personally attack. Anyone placing offensive, obscene, abusive or derogatory posts will be penalized appropriately.

6 - Discussion is good. Fighting is not. We'll take a look at possible issues as they come up.

7 - Profanity is not permitted. This included links to objectional material.

8 - Please give proper credit to the authors of original material, whether you bring it to this website or whether you take it from this website to another. Use links to site your sources.

9 - Spam will not be permitted in any form.

10 - The soliciting of members to buy, sell, trade, donate or give away anything is not allowed in the forums.

Penalties

If a Moderator thinks a post is in violation they will temporarily delete the post. Moderators will confer on the post and may (with explaination):

* Restore the post.
* Warn the user.
* Suspend the user.
* Ban the user permanently.

Violations while under warning will result in suspension or ban.
