by Kristina Smith, News Herald In 1969, the Cuyahoga River caught fire, bringing national attention to the pollution destroying some of America's waterways and becoming a catalyst for the creation of the Environmental Protection Agency and water quality standards. But it wasn't the only river that was so polluted it caught fire that year.
