The Safety Alert System for outboard motors, from Powersport Innovations, has an amber LED light mounted on the outboard motor that alerts other boaters when the craft is decelerating.

The patented Safety Alert System features a microprocessor-controlled G force sensor. As a boat decelerates, this module provides power to the LED to alert surrounding boaters to take timely corrective action.

Completely water- and vibration-proof, the system is designed to withstand harsh marine conditions and has a voltage draw of only 170 milliamps.

The kit includes a high-intensity LED that mounts on the dash, lighting up simultaneously when the outboard motor LED is lit. This system doubles as a flashing distress signal, and is invaluable when cruising at night or docking.
