Maxwell America’s HRC Series Windlasses, including the HRC-6 and HRC-8, have been designed for trailerable and light displacement vessels up to 42 feet in length.

The HRC Series’ pressure-arm system guarantees a trouble-free rode transition from rope to chain. It utilizes an integrated composite nylon, thru-deck hawse pipe to ensure snag-free operation.

A remote, panel-mounted up/down switch offers high-speed and jam-free retrieval of the rope and chain. In case of onboard power failure, the HRC Series has an emergency freefall function. A high-efficiency spur gearbox incorporates a non-backwind mechanism. 

The series is cast from marine-grade alloy and polyester powder-coated. Its chrome-finished bronze chainwheels are suitable for use with 1/4-inch to 5/16-inch short-link chain and either three-strand or eight-braid rope.

Simple bolt-down mounting enables rapid set-up.  A dual-direction motor includes integrated wiring for quick electrical installation.

Maxwell America’s HRC-6 has a starting price of $1,125 while the HRC-8 starts at $1,275.
