A conservation organization has bought 36 acres of forest and shoreline on an island in Lake Michigan.
The Nature Conservancy already owned most of St. Martin Island, having bought 1,233 acres last November. St. Martin Island is located in Michigan waters, about five miles from Washington and Rock islands.
