BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A battle has been brewing at the Erie Basin Marina. Boaters say they’re paying too much money to use the marina.
“It’s not the Buffalo Yacht Club. It’s not the Buffalo Launch Club. It’s not the Buffalo Canoe Club. It’s a public marina,” John Cornell, president of the Erie Basin Marina Slip Renters Association, said.
The Erie Basin Marina slip holders have been fighting for months for their rates to go down.
The City of Buffalo owns the marina and Smith Boys is the new operator.
