Progressive Catawba Island Boat Show returns this Weekend!

April 2017 News

The Progressive Catawba Island Boat Show is set to return this weekend from April 28-30 in western Lake Erie.

Marking its 12th year, the in-water show at the Catawba Island Club in Port Clilnton, Ohio will showcase more than 125 power boats and sailboats ranging from inflatables to motoryachts, and the event has the distinction of being the only time each year that the Catawba Island Club is open to the public.

Dozens of accessory, service and equipment displays will ring the picturesque harbor basin where the show has come to be the unofficial kickoff to the northern Ohio boating season.

Dealers from Ohio and Michigan will display 2017 models as large as 60 feet, emphasizing many they’ve received since last winter’s shows in Cleveland and Detroit or that were simply too big for the indoor events.

Organizers said there will also be handpicked used boats, and the format of the show encourages easy sea trials.

The spring boating party atmosphere will be rounded out with daily live music, craft beer events, a wine-tasting party and Discover Lake Erie Sailing rides. As always, parking and show admission are free.
